Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane. To open the HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon. It took my system around 5 hours to transfer 427g of data, which is way faster than any of the other methods (when they even worked.) The data I back up routinely every week or so is a much, much smaller amount, and I can use the browser to do that.
